How to get legally married in Las Vegas.
A Las Vegas wedding can move quickly, but the legal steps still matter. Use this guide to understand the Clark County process, then confirm current requirements with the County Clerk.

Before applying
- Each person must generally be at least 18 years old, currently unmarried, and able to present qualifying original government-issued identification.
- Names on the application must match the identification presented to the Clerk.
- Clark County does not require a blood test or a waiting period.
- The marriage license is valid for one year from the issue date.
- The ceremony must take place in Nevada with an officiant authorized in Nevada and at least one witness other than the officiant.

The four-step Clark County process
Apply online
Complete the official marriage-license application with both parties’ information. Check spelling carefully, save the confirmation number, and make sure each name matches the identification that will be presented.
Pick up the license together
Both parties appear together at the Clark County Marriage License Bureau, present original qualifying identification, verify the documents, and pay the $102 fee. Credit or debit payments carry an additional convenience fee; checks are not accepted.
Bring the paperwork to the ceremony
Bring the marriage license, marriage certificate, and keepsake paperwork. The couple states vows before at least one witness other than the officiant.
Order certified proof after filing
The officiant must deliver the completed marriage certificate to the Clerk within ten calendar days. After the Clerk files it, a certified marriage certificate can be ordered as official proof of marriage. Clark County currently charges $20 per certified copy.

The official location page lists the main bureau as open seven days per week, 8 a.m. to midnight, including holidays. Hours and fees can change, so check Clark County locations and hours before visiting.
After the wedding
Clark County states that a received certificate is generally filed within one or two business days. Couples usually obtain their own certified proof of marriage. International couples should check whether the home government requires an Apostille or another document.

Where Toni fits into the process
Clark County issues the marriage license. Toni leads the wedding ceremony, signs the marriage certificate, and personally delivers the completed certificate in person to the Clark County Clerk’s Office on the next business day. Nevada law allows up to ten calendar days for officiant delivery; Toni’s confirmed next-business-day practice is faster. The Clerk—not Toni—controls filing and processing after delivery.
Toni cannot issue the license, waive government requirements, correct identification problems, or guarantee when another agency will process a document.
